Made with; chilli flakes ground from hand-cleaned and dried red chillies and dried baby shrimp to
elevate that perfect taste (The same quality but without the shrimp if you're vegan!) And a generous
amount of vegetable oil for the ideal texture.

The main ingredient of the Maldive fish sambol is, as the name suggests, Maldive Fish. Cleaned, smoked,
and sun-dried tuna with a hard texture. We, Sri Lankans, use them in small portions when cooking curries
and dishes but, it's optional. But with the sambol, we're using cups of Maldive fish instead
of a tablespoon.
Mixed with onions, chillies, curry leaves, and more; this crunchy, sweet and salty, flavourful sambol is
a perfect addition to have with your rice dishes and more. Especially with a biriyani.
